Research Room and Enquiry Service

The Research Room is a facility offered by the Society to both members and non-members to enable them to make use of a wide range of research tools. It is staffed by Society volunteers who have been fully trained on all the facilities offered and are there to help you get the best out of the tools available during your visit. Regretfully, they are unable to undertake research for you; please contact the Search Co-ordinator about searches from the records.

Tuesdays – 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Thursdays – 10:00am to 1:00pm

Prices
50p for members and £1.00 for non-members.

Enquiry Service
Our Enquiries Coordinator will search any data set on the Society’s databases, such as Census and Parish Records, on your behalf and extract of all records with your specified details. The extracted records can bet sent to you either by eMail or on paper.

In addition, Society members can obtain free searches from all our databases by logging on to this site with their username & password & finding a name via the Transcription Index under the menu item “Research”
